Our mission
-
To Contribute and highlight the cultural heritage related to salmon fishing on the rivers of the region, with an emphasis on the Matapedia and Causapscal rivers;
- Preserve and enhance and uncover the cultural heritage of the buildings comprising the Matamajaw Fishing Site, a classified heritage site, as well as the associated history;
- Ensure the human, financial, and operational management of the Matamajaw Fishing Site heritage site, a museum institution;
- Manage, promote, or coordinate projects with tourist or cultural implications;
- Collaborate with other organizations working in the fields of heritage, museology, culture, tourism, or others;
- Acquire, if necessary, movable or immovable property related to the organization's objects.
