Faucus inc. is responsible for the human, financial, and operational management of the Site patrimonial de pêche Matamajaw, an accredited museum institution. This is the main mandate that the Faucus inc. team focuses on.
The site, classified by the government of Quebec in 1984, includes an extensive area on both sides of Route 132 in downtown Causapscal, including the The Forks Park, a section of the Matapédia River, and the footbridge spanning the river. The Site patrimonial de pêche Matamajaw became an accredited museum institution by the Ministry of Culture and Communications in 2019. The museum's permanent exhibition was renewed in 2023.
Five exceptional heritage buildings form the core of the site. The Guardian's House, the oldest building on the site (1868-1871), houses the offices of Faucus inc., the bistro, and the gift shop. The Icehouse and the Boathouse are secondary buildings where part of the interpretation is located as part of the museum's permanent exhibition, with the main elements found on the other side of Route 132, in the impressive and rich Main Pavilion built around 1881. The overview of the buildings is completed by the Guides' Quarter, and the site also features a basin allowing visitors to observe Atlantic salmon up close in a reconstructed pool.
